Stat. Update

I was told yesterday that I will be continuing on 4 to 8 watch hereafter. Its been good so far, since I was given ample rest beforehand. This is the first time in 6 months that I have slept more than 7 hours continuously:)

Watched a movie called Superhero movie..I dont know why the spoof movies are made in such a dull manner all the time. I think it may be due to the fact that the story writer's creativity is restricted by the story of the actual movie. He is forced to follow the same path, except deviate when comedy is required.

Stat. Update

We are now 5 days away from Port Klang , which was supposed to be my sign off port. The last two weeks are going to be extremely tough, considering I was all ready to sign off on 27th.

Stat. Update

Here we have received news that our Chief Engineer's daughter died yesterday in an accident. It is unfortunate that he will only be able to go home after a week, since it takes that much time for the ship to reach next port. RIP.

Stat Update-Sign off date has changed

I was told by the Captain today that it is confirmed that my sign off will be on 11th April. This means that I get to stay onboard with the new third officer for another two weeks. My friends onboard think that this is good for me, since I will be receiving pay for another 15 days, including leave pay.
The program to visit Thiruchendur will have to be cancelled now. My keyboard is not able to type the full stop at present and so I complete my entry with this sentence.

Sign off date delayed

I was just told today morning that the port that I was going to sign off has been cancelled. This means that I would be staying an extra 15 days. Lets see how things turn out.
Its a good thing that we have been sailing along the south african coast. It was easier to break the news to my parents by mobile phone rather than by email.
Recently, I went ashore in Cape town for 5 hours. I had a good time at the Victoria wharf in Waterfront area. I have a lot of pictures thanks to AB Imran who joined me in the visit.
