Uncle's comments

Sometime last week I went to chitoor by car. My uncle observed that the toll gates along the way were making a good fortune but not working towards developing the roads in the area under their charge.  Particularly in Sriperumbuthur, the roads at the toll gate itself are not in good condition.  I felt sad on hearing his views because one thing I have seen in all developed countries was that they had good roads.
      So where is the money that I spent at the toll gate going to?

Today I visited a restaurant where they hung a clock in the shape of a frying pan. It was a novel idea and was extremely appropriate in context. Excuse the photo, this was the best I could do discreetly without drawing attention in a crowded place.

Stat update

I'm back in Chennai now. It's been raining cats and dogs since I arrived.  We had to go to velachery today and it was a tough trip by car due to bad visibility.  Fortunately traffic was less compared to the other days and we managed to get back home safely. 
Today's dinner was at the sangeetha hotel. I had peas uthappam which was quite good.

Asked to get off the aeroplane

I have just been asked to get off mh182 aircraft...! Wait! Don't assume the worst..all the passengers are disembarking due to a technical glitch.  We almost reached the runway when the captain announced that we would be returning back. Now he has just informed everyone on the pa that we will be leaving by another flight. If the flights are not similar in build, I wonder how the seating arrangements will be. More on this later.

Sign off from m colombo

I'm about to sign off from the vessel maersk colombo today. It's been a hard learning phase for me here, but I believe that I have come out as a better person at the end of this tenure.  More updates to follow.
