Arrived at the busy part of the ship's voyage. The next 20 days are going to be very hectic considering that there will be no more help from Baw. I wonder how the watch arrangements are going to be.

Movie review

I watched the sequel of the famous movie 'Kick Ass' yesterday. It is as entertaining as the first movie, but has its dull moments. Those who liked the first edition will definitely love this movie.
Dave is back again as 'Kick Ass' the superhero with no powers, who inspired other to take up just(mostly small, simple, and sometimes outraeously arduous) causes. Mendy aka the Hit girl holds back till the end, mourning the death of her father 'the big daddy' and keeping her promise to her father about not endangering herself.
Chris is back as the supervillain whose super power is, well, money. He hires trained mercenaries and takes various steps to bring ruin to Kick Ass's life. Did Kick Ass come out on top in the end? What happenned to Mindy finally? I will let you see the movie to find out.
I liked a few characters in the movie, which stood out, like Javier, Chris' assistant, The Kernel, Remerbering Tommy and Officer Marcus. The school scenes with Mindy were, I believe, just to lengthen the movie.

Stat. Update

Its another quiet sunday onboard in the middle of the Indian ocean. Apart from the safety training, nothing of value has happenned so far. Its good that the cabin inspections on this ship happen only on mondays. This frees the whole sunday for the crew, giving a bare semblance of the weekly holiday enjoyed by people working ashore.

Stat. Update

Hi MD,
Everything is going on fine here onboard the Maersk Colombo. I'm getting used to the work timings step by step. Food is typical North Indian, but also has varieties that I like.
Its been a week since I signed on. Due to the new job responsibilities, Im constantly learning new things, which is good.
Internet has been erratic, and Im eager to find out who won the football world cup. The problem is due to the fact that the vessel is now making a north easterly course, the funnel effectively blinding off satellites for tracking.
The weekend is here and I hope all of you reading this have a wonderful time.

Sign on-Maersk Colombo

After I arrived at the airport, I found that the flight to Abu Dhabi was on time this time. Then I quickly got the Frankfurt flight. From there, I got the flight to Windhoek after 5 hours. The airport was good and I had good food there and also on the flights.
The flight from Windhoek to Walvis bay was delayed by 2 hours due to weather conditions. Otherwise, everything went on well.
After coming onboard, I was told to rest for the next 12 hours. The next day, I started work and later talked to you on the phone. The ship is now on its way from Walvis Bay to TPP. It is going to be a 20 day journey, and will also have clock changes.
Here everyone seems to be ok. The food is also very good. My only concern is that I may get fat here.
