Apache Open office writer

 

Just checking out the Apache Open office writer and seeing how it is different from the portable version of ooo that I have been using till now.  I already see that it is much faster when it loads docs.

Internet is back on

 

Finally, Internet at my place is fixed.  For the past few days, internet at my house was cut off due to some maintenance work on the road.  I guess from here on its going to be ok.

Trip to Kerala

 

For the last one week, I have been in Kerala on a tour of Guruvayoor, Trissur and Munnar.  At first My parents and I visited the Guruvayoor temple.  Then on the same day, we went to the Elephant fort where around 60 elephants are being taken care of.  Then we went to the Chalakad beach.

The next day, we visited the Trissur palace and the vadakkunathan temple.  Later we travelled to Munnar.  There we stayed for three days visiting different place.  The Elephant trek was a memorable experience.

Nanga–Movie review

 

I just watched a movie called Naanga on Sun TV channel.  It is a film starring multiple new faces.  The story has been told in such a way that multiple individual stories and two timelines mesh together, though not perfectly.  The songs were an unnecessary addition.

One thing worthy of mention is the effort put in to make the period part of the story as authentic as possible.  It is seen in many scenes that the Director has done his homework for the story.

Pondy visit

 

I have just returned from a trip to Pondichery.  Today is the 16th day since the demise of my uncle Ezhumalai and by the tradition of my family, we gather at his house to perform certain rituals.  Everything went on as per procedure.

Ipad

 

Just considering if I should buy an Ipad..I see that there are no decent options for 10 inch tablets in Samsung or other companies..

Neeya Naana–great show going on now

 

A good show is in progress right now in Vijay TV regarding the stresses related to men and women.  Im really enjoying the show.  It is bringing out a lot of unexplored details in each other’s lives.  Its a re telecast and probably will show for the last time on tv.
