I have been sitting at the same place for the past 4 hours now, waiting for a document to be issued at the mercantile marine department. Even though it's out of the ordinary, i'm used to it now. Will write later on this..

I'm going to be on tv
I still cannot believe what happened to me today. We were at the univercell store when suddenly we were approached by the Makkal tv crew and asked to give our comments as a would be couple about selfies. It turned out to be tense at first and fun later on when I settled down a little bit.
We later took selfies of each of us and a couples selfie. I had the chance to interact with the anchor and also take a couple of snaps with him. My parents are in the video too. I'm eagerly awaiting the programme about to be telecasted at 9 Pm on the 1st of Jan in Makkal TV channel.
Stat update
Yesterday we reached home by 10 pm after a long road trip. Now I'm at beach station. I came here to get my license revalidated. But unfortunately the person in charge is on leave and it can only be done on Wednesday and Friday. I'm going back home now.

Invitation distribution 2
Today morning we started the day with a special pooja at the kothandaramar temple in vandavasi. Then we went to several houses in vandavasi to distribute invitations. I had the chance to meet many relatives whom I had not seen for a long time.
Then we went to thiruvannamalai to my father's uncle's place for lunch. After that we started for pondichery.
My parents and I are at villupuram, halfway to another of my uncle's house.

Invitation distribution for my engagement
I have been keeping this out of the net for so long that I thought I would never be able to tell the entire story in one blog entry. And I think it's better that I leave out certain preliminary details and events due to its private nature. Some of the things I speak about are known only to me while others are just privy to close relatives and friends.
Along with my parent's approval, we have decided that the engagement would be on 23rd jan. More on this later..
Director Balachandar passed away
Just heard that the legendary director has made a guest appearance in Kamal's next movie Utthamavillain. RIP sir.

Sydney siege
Some newspapers covering the Sydney siege are concentrating on the fact that the two Indians were saved but not stressing about two other innocent civilians who were killed. It's strange how news highlights certain things more than other.

Movie review Linga
I had the opportunity to watch Linga in theatres on the day of the release itself. I should be calling this an opportunity and not a chance because some of my friends have complained that they were not able to get tickets for the same.
A short review for those who haven't seen it yet. Rajni stars as both grandfather and grandson in a part period part contemporary movie. The flashback role seems to be everyone's favourite, exciting everyone with his style and punch dialogues. In this part he is a philanthropist maharaja who aspires to construct a dam for the people. In this endeavour he loses everything he owns but gains the respect of the villagers. How the modern day antagonist saves this dam from a greedy minister who plans to divert the funds required for the construction of a new dam to his own use.

This picture was taken at Johor Bahru airport. That time they dropped me there at 2 am and said that the airport opened only at 4.30. So in the entire airport and the roads nearby I'm the only person. There was not even a security guard. So I took some pictures in the airport lobby and some on the road. Then I put my trolley in the middle of the street and took some photos just for fun.
