Dragon fruit
I recently had something called dragon fruit. This is how it looks on the inside. The fruit was largely tasteless.
Visit to baba temple in injambakkam temple

Recap of Engagement day
Day before yesterday, the day of my engagement was truly one of my most memorable days. I hope it will be followed by many more memorable nice days in the future.
The day started with a little suspense from the company side. The vessel schedule had changed and so I was expected to join by 24the itself. Then as an engagement gift, no flights were available for the said dates and so my sign on was shifted by a week to 1st Feb, relieving me from the tension temporarily.
My family and I reached the hall by 3.30. Then I waited till 4.30 for the auspicious time after which I got dressed for the occasion in a navy blue based suit and pants.
I was then taken to the main hall surrounded by ladies carrying the 51 plates prepared traditionally.
I remained in the hall for the next 4 hours doing various things like getting blessings, posing for photos, cutting the cake and so on. Later we also clicked some pictures for the purpose of candid shots.

Sunmica wall decoration
The picture hangs at one of my father's family friend's place. Unlike other paintings this is made of sunmica and so is easily washable. It is a great idea that is catching up at places of business.

Resolution of new year 2015
I have made some personal resolutions this new year, some of which are private. One thing I wish to make happen is to introduce and post regularly on a new label known as Recap of the day. This will include details of what I did on particular days.

Picture of Karaneeswarar temple gopuram
I have seen many people bow down to it when they travel on the train and happen to pass the saidapet railway station.
Locked inside Karaneeswarar temple
A strange thing happenned today to me at the Karaneeswarar temple in saidapet. It was around 11.45 AM. I had just completed the rounds around the praharam and sat down for a while. There were atleast 30 people seated along with me in random under the main shed.
I was confident that the temple doors would not be locked when this many people are inside. To my surprise, I found the huge temple doors shut when I turned to leave.
It turns out that the people still inside had no plans to leave any time soon as they were there for annadaanam(free lunch).
Finally I found a little trap door kind of a gate and left through there.
The lessons that I learnt were these: Never assume something based on circumstances and not hard facts. Second, Disagree with the guy who created the old saying there is no such thing as a free lunch.(Ironically, I managed to get out only on the advice of someone who had come there, so literally, I got to have free lunch(free advice).
New way to blog
I have managed to attach a keyboard to my note 3 and am blogging from it right now. I think this will make blogging and chatting from mobile much easier. I did this by using a OTG cable.
